NEW ALBUM – “ROLLING THUNDER OF LOVE”
“The Rolling Thunder Of Love”, unlike most of my albums, has come about through slow and gentle preparation. Totally independent, it has been a 2 year fermentation with the help of great musical friends/family and allies. Through trials and tribulations, drought and pouring rain we pulled together when we could and slowly built it up piece by piece. Most of the album was recorded at “Uplands Studio”, an isolated and picturesque location in the foothills of Cootamundra NSW. We laid down the guts of the album in some scorching +40C days in the late summer. We sweated it out half-naked with wet towels wrapped around our necks but knew there was something special happening, so we pushed on through.
It has many interweaving stories, the effects of fatherhood on a man’s mind, love, and the destruction of fanciful delusions to make way for a stronger and slower experience in life.
After so many attempts at getting there, I feel like this album is the musical heartland I have always been searching for.
Hope you all enjoy!
